The Vallejo Police Officer’s Association has a strong commitment to the youth in our community. We are a proud supporter of youth soccer, baseball, boxing, softball and wrestling. Besides sports, we believe in supporting higher education and for over twenty years, we have provided financial assistance to college bound high school seniors. Each year the Vallejo Police Officer’s Association awards scholarships to college bound seniors.
This year the Memorial Scholarships are in the names of our fallen officers who gave the ultimate sacrifice for the city of Vallejo. We want to recognize these officers by naming the scholarships after Calvin Thacker Jr., William Easson Jr., Jeff Azuar and Jim Capoot. In addition we also recognize Lieutenant Doug Clark who supported high school seniors in our community. Past recipients have been students from Vallejo, Bethel, St. Pat’s and Hogan High Schools.
